This is a heavy duty play on the filet knife. My customer intends to use it to debone his deer and was looking for a sleek, long blade without the flex of a traditional filet knife. Carbon steel blade with brass bolsters and deer antler handle. The antler was provided by the customer. It is well balanced with a very comfortable handle design for long periods of use. 

Hybrid Filet

I'm very happy with how this filet knife turned out. 6" blade made of 5160 steel, brass guard, buffalo horn spacers alternating with white fiber and brass, and burl maple handle with brass pins. The burl maple pattern on the handle reminds me of an old world map, hence the name of the knife.
